FOSTER CARE
ADOPTION RESOURCES OF WISCONSIN

Adoption Resources of Wisconsin saw a 475% increase in parent information packet downloads.

Adoption Resources of Wisconsin partnered with Serve to launch the most aggressive foster care marketing effort in Wisconsin history.   The campaign called, Turn a Life Around, launched with upside down outdoor,  tv,  flash mobs and a Facebook flip your profile picture  promotion, all culminating in a groundswell of public attention during National Foster Care Month May of 2011.

Teen Pregnancy

UNITED WAY OF GREATER MILWAUKEE

Serve's Teen Pregnancy prevention campaign contributed to a 50% decrease in Milwaukee's teen pregnancy rate.

Serve developed and spearheaded a citywide teen pregnancy prevention campaign in partnership with United Way of Greater Milwaukee.   Serve launched dozens of surprising and strategic teen pregnancy prevention campaigns. Heather recruited media partners who together with Serve, donated over $525,215 of in-kind services.  Collectively, the campaigns were seen over 8.1 million times.   United Way and its partners have  seen an unprecedented decrease in teen birth rates, outpacing the national averages.

Gun Violence

After seeing the homicide rate in their city increase 17% from 2004 to 2007 Milwaukeeans were understandably fed up with the gun violence epidemic. The problem was, they didn’t know how to get involved. Partnering with the District Attorney, Serve launched the “One Milwaukee” campaign to inspire and encourage Milwaukeeans to take responsibility for the gun violence issue.  The campaign introduced dozens of successful inner-city gun violence prevention programs generating over 15 million gross media impressions, driving 14,271 visitors to the website, and increasing donations to gun violence prevention programs.

Shaken Baby

SHAKEN BABY ASSOCIATION

Serve's shaken baby campaign contributed to a four month halt in shakings.

After a shocking 76% increase in Shaken baby syndrome cases in Milwaukee from 2007-2008, setting a devastating record, Shaken Baby Association, once again, partnered with SERVE, a non-profit advertising agency, on a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of shaking a child.

Strong Baby

CITY OF MILWAUKEE HEALTH DEPARTMENT

To address Milwaukee’s alarmingly high infant mortality rate, Serve, in partnership with the Milwaukee Health Department, launched the “Strong Baby” campaign, advocating infant immunizations and inspiring women to quit smoking before, during, and after pregnancy. With over 209 million media impressions, the “Strong Babies” have become a regular sight on Milwaukee bus shelters, billboards, and transit vehicles.  A survey of 100 WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program, special supplemental nutrition program for eligible women, infants, and children) clients found that 80% had seen the add, and 60% saw it on multiple occasions, 90% found the message convincing and 55% said they would be more likely to have their children vaccinated.
